Phil creates iconic objects of art and depictions of places as if recollecting a memory. His subject matter draws from the quirky and often overlooked objects around us. His vintage feeling artwork expresses itself like a forgotten postcard from the past. The artist’s hand is evident by the patina of wear found on a well-loved object.

Phil was multidisciplinary schooled at the Alberta College of Art and the Ontario College of Art. He was raised in rural Saskacthewan and influenced by naive and folk art. Each art piece utilizes reclaimed wood and found materials.
